On May 12, 2026, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov received a Brazilian delegation led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Mauro Vieira. The meeting focused on strengthening economic ties between Brazil and Uzbekistan and identifying concrete steps to expand bilateral trade and investment.
Both sides noted that trade between the two countries has grown steadily in recent years, reaching approximately USD 300 million in 2025. Officials expressed confidence that this momentum can be accelerated through targeted cooperation in priority sectors.

The forum highlighted Uzbekistan’s ongoing market reforms and Brazil’s position as a global supplier of agricultural commodities, creating strong foundations for long-term commercial relationships.
